Father and Son Paramedics Share Over 30 Years Caring for Londoners

A London paramedic says watching his father save lives inspired him to follow the same path, with the pair now sharing more than three decades of frontline service between them.

Kyle Fisher has worked for the London Ambulance Service for eight years, while his father Pete has spent 25 years helping Londoners in emergencies. Pete, an Incident Response Officer based at Bow, joined in 2000. Kyle started as a trainee in 2017 and now works as a paramedic at Edmonton Ambulance Station.

Kyle said growing up around the job showed him the difference his dad made to patients and colleagues. Since joining, he's completed a university apprenticeship and helped deliver eight babies, including two born in ambulances. He also met his partner Elise at work.

Pete said he was proud of his son's hard work juggling study with the long hours and demands of emergency care. This Father's Day, both know they give their all to caring for people.
